New FSD board chair named

Michelle Search to replace Tom Scanlan

On June 30, Tom Scanlan, retired brigadier general, U.S. Air Force, stepped down as chair of FSD’s board of directors. Since he took on that role in 2016, Tom has helped propel our mission, guiding us through challenges, implementing new programs, and achieving his personal goals of helping FSD complete its transition to a new facility and establish an endowment. Tom will be staying on as a member of our board and a member of our Puppy-Raising Club along with his wife, Sharon. Thank you, Tom, for your leadership and dedication to Freedom Service Dogs.

We are thrilled to announce that Michelle Search has been named FSD’s new board chair. Michelle, who joined our board of directors in 2018, is director of sales and client services at Experis Finance. She beings expertise in business development, finance, accounting, and audit–as well as experience on the boards of American Lung Association of Colorado and Susan G Komen Colorado–to our organization.
