Freedom Service Dogs has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Colorado and taking proactive measures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our volunteers, clients, staff, and supporters, while continuing to provide the best possible care for our dogs and puppies in training.

Due to the unforeseeable impact of COVID-19 on our city and state in the months to come, and the uncertainty surrounding our ability as an organization to deliver a successful event under restrictive conditions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Faces of Freedom: Denver Sporting Clays Tournament on June 26, 2020.

We greatly appreciate the commitment anyone had already made—as a sponsor or a team—to support this year’s event, as well as the support so many have shown for Faces of Freedom in the past.

We know that everyone’s day-to-day life and finances have been affected by the coronavirus crisis—and that holds true for Freedom Service Dogs as well. As a nonprofit organization that relies on the generosity of our community, we remain in need of financial support in order to keep providing custom-trained service dogs at no charge to the veterans and other clients who are counting on us, perhaps now more than ever.

If you are in a position to continue your support, we would be most grateful if you would consider reallocating your investment in Faces of Freedom to support Operation Freedom and the veterans we serve. Donations can be made here.

Our sponsors, teams, and general supporters make it possible for FSD to change the lives of veterans with visible and invisible disabilities, and we are so grateful for your trust and belief in our mission.

Thank you for your understanding and compassion. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Nadine Pace at npace@freedomservicedogs.org or 303-922-6231 x216.
