It’s Volunteer Appreciation Month!

We heart our volunteers

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and now more than ever, we want to sing the praises of our amazing volunteers! Our FSD volunteers are the heart and soul of our team, and during this difficult time, they’re stepping up and making it possible for us to continue our life-changing work…together.

Our faithful fosters welcomed all of our adult dogs, puppies, and resident kitties into their homes within 24 hours after our facility closed its doors. Our priceless puppy raisers are helping our youngest pups maintain basic obedience and socialization (with proper social distancing, of course) during their home stays. Our awesome admin volunteers are making thank-you calls to the generous donors who are supporting us during the pandemic. And all of our volunteers are asking how they can help out and stay connected—from a distance—with our organization.

A heartfelt hurrah and tremendous thanks to these dedicated women and men for playing a critical role in keeping FSD going strong. We love you, FSD volunteers!

While our onsite volunteer opportunities are currently on-hold, we are still seeking Denver-area volunteer puppy raisers to help raise the next generation of Freedom Service Dogs. We provide special training, ongoing support, and supplies for the puppies. Learn more or contact Puppy Program Coordinator David Neff at 303-922-6231 x212 or [email protected].
