Founded by Eric and Jessica Decker, Deckers Dogs helps fund the rescue, care and training of a service dog for our military veterans returning home with disabilities.
Your donation of $25 makes you a member of this exclusive club! You will receive a Deckers Dogs t-shirt, a letter from Eric and Jessica and will be kept up to date with the latest on the dogs graduating through the Deckers Dogs program!
The mission of Deckers Dogs, an initiative of the Eric and Jessie Decker Foundation, is to provide needed service dogs to returning military personnel and veterans with a service-connected disability.
As a supporter of Deckers Dogs and Freedom Service Dogs you are helping veterans in their darkest hours. Plus, you are freeing a shelter dog to have a second lease on life supporting a veteran. Freedom Service Dogs work exclusively with rescued dogs, which have the same success rate as dogs bred for service. For a typical service dog, the journey from shelter to service cost approximately $25,000.
Service dogs provide a support system for wounded warriors with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), pain and mobility issues that can lead to suicide.
We are proud that, with your support, we have already funded the care and custom training for two service dogs. Our first Deckers Dog is Rommy, who graduated in December and is now living on the Western Slope with veteran Shon. Our second dog is still in training with Freedom Service Dogs and will be matched with a veteran in early 2014, with a third Deckers Dog graduating by summer 2014.
Please join us in support of Deckers Dogs and Freedom Service Dogs so we can “Free a Hero to Save a Hero.”
