Volunteer classes
Handlers class
The handler’s class is required for all volunteer positions that will be working with dogs. You’ll learn a bit about dog psychology, our training techniques and commands in a classroom setting through working with our dogs-in-training. You’ll receive great training and work with other dog lovers! You’ll also get a glimpse of what it might be like to live with a disability. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of four two-hour classes to complete the Handlers Class.
Please complete the Handlers Application prior to signing up for the class.
Schedule
Please contact Heather at 303-922-6231 to sign up for an upcoming class.
For those graduates of the Handlers Class interested in participating in the training of our current dogs, we have several training sessions available. Please commit to one or more two-hour training sessions weekly to help train the Class of 2007.
